Is there anything Baahubali can't do? SS Rajamouli's magnum opus created a new benchmark of box-office success and introduced Indian cinema to a 1000 crore club and created a craze among the masses like no other recent film. If that wasn't enough, the film has now inspired doctors to perform 'Baahubali Brain Surgery'.
Believe it or not! in a private hospital in Gutur district of Andhra Pradesh, doctors performed a critical brain surgery while the patient watched Prabhas and Rana Daggubati film. The surgery went off well and has inspired the doctors to label it as 'Baahubali Brain Surgery'. According to a news daily, forty three year old nurse Vianaya Kumari suffered from fits and was diagnosed with brain tumour. On September 21, doctors decide to operate her at the Tulasi Mutli-speciality Hospital in Guntur. Since it is important for the patient to stay awake during the surgery, the doctors played film 'Baahubali' on a laptop to keep the patient busy.
Doctors were happy with the outcome of the surgery and share the credit with SS Rajamouli's magnum opus. Dr Srinivas, neurosurgeon said, “In this surgery it was important for the patient to stay conscious and the film managed to do exactly that. The patient did not panic through the process, in fact, she was enjoying and humming the songs.” Just like any other Baahubali fan, the patient enjoyed the movie and said, “The surgery lasted for about an hour and half, but I hoped it would go on a bit longer, so that I could see the entire film.”
