Somehow not known really yet this short tv show is so good i`ve checked it whithin a day.
Stuff sounds funny - a rich guy who drinks and takes drugs all the time and changes girls. But this is not a comedy. With every episode we go more and more dark...
Plot?
Aristocrat, drug addict, alcoholic, British. With these words you can describe Patrick Melrose, a character as tragic as daringly played by the amazing Benedict Cumberbatch, an actor directly created for this role. Thanks to the joint initiative of Showtime and Sky Atlantic television, a series was created that, at first glance, does not stand out as anything special - another story about addiction, unhappy childhood and lost dreams.
Similar productions, dealing with internal demons, a whole lot was shot, both serious and slightly less. So what is it about Patrick Melrose that this 5 episode miniseries are memorable for a long time? The truth may surprise you, like the main character, the British aristocrat and alter ego of Edward St. Aubyn, author of the novel series of the same title.
Hell, i loved it!
Thanks for the review it's on my to watch list!
