Thor: Ragnarok was an awesome movie movie. My good friend Mike Farley (@diet_jeffrey) kept on telling me to watch it and I never got around to it until recently. Right now, it’s my favorite MCU film, but that might change soon because I am yet to see Infinity War. The first two Thor films were mediocre at best, and Ragnarok really stepped it up. Chris Hemsworth is freaking awesome as Thor like usual. He also gets some great character development and he’s a lot of fun to watch. Tom Hiddleston is also good and he’s up to his usual antics as Loki. Cate Blanchett is the best antagonist in the Thor trilogy. She has great character motivations. I thought Hela was pretty awesome. Hulk also got developed, and Mark Ruffalo was very funny. Jeff Goldblum honestly didn’t have to act, he was just being himself and it cracked me up. Karl Urban, who played Skurge, was hilarious yet sympathetic. And the best performance in the whole movie goes to Korg. He is the best character in the MCU and Taika Waititi has the perfect voice for him. Ragnarok really stepped up its game in the comedy and the action. The humor was on the same level as Guardians of the Galaxy. The action sequences were fun and had some great visuals. And speaking of visuals, the syfy aesthetic was super awesome and the CGI was amazing. It was very similar to GOTG and it was visually appealing. Overall, being that it is my favorite MCU film, I give Thor: Ragnarok a 10/10.
