Can We Save America a Second Time?

Another great historical political documentary from Dinesh D'Souza.

This movie will probably not be something the mainstream indoctrinated folks will be watching any time soon. I don't really ever bother with reading reviews of films by known critics but this time I could not resist, and it was exactly what I expected. They tried to discredit the premise and historical accuracy of the movie due to the fact that it shines a very bright spotlight on the dark and sinister origins of their preferred political party.

The documentary goes into the origins of the Democratic party, it points out that factual truth that they were on the wrong side of the war against slavery. The democrats were the plantation owners and they were fighting Lincoln and the Republicans who were against slavery, the same who sent three hundred thousand men and young boys to fight to abolish slavery. It also puts to bed this mythical idea that somewhere between the 1930's and 1960's these racist democrats switched to the other side, of which there is absolute no historical evidence.

"Not since 1860 have the Democrats so fanatically refused to accept the result of a free election. That year, their target was Lincoln. They smeared him. They went to war to defeat him. In the end, they assassinated him. Now the target of the Democrats is President Trump and his supporters. The Left calls them racists, white supremacists and fascists. These charges are used to justify driving Trump from office and discrediting the right "by any means necessary." But which is the party of the slave plantation? Which is the party that invented white supremacy? Which is the party that praised fascist dictators and shaped their genocidal policies and was in turn praised by them? Moreover, which is the party of racism today? Is fascism now institutionally embodied on the right or on the left? Through stunning historical recreations and a searching examination of fascism and white supremacy, "Death of a Nation" cuts through progressive big lies to expose hidden history and explosive truths. Lincoln united his party and saved America from the Democrats for the first time. Can Trump and we come together and save America for the second time?" - Dinesh D'Souza

I've included a recent talk that Dinesh D'Souza gave at YAF's student conference, where he explains a little more about the documentary. He makes the argument that the Nazi's pretty much copied the Democrats Jim Crow laws, and yes they were laws proposed and implemented by the democrats, not the Republicans. These laws were basically copied to the letter by the Nazi's and imposed on the Jews.

He also explains that there is almost no difference between the socialists and fascists of back then, they are pretty much one and the same, both are collectivist that abuse the power of the state to force their will on the people through the use of force. This is the exact same tactic that we see today by the left, with their identity politics and attempts to have the state control all aspects of life.

Two things: Lincoln was the very first national candidate of a brand new party, the Republican. That party may have changed a touch since then. And B: Trump is not the new Lincoln.

That said, you are utterly correct in the origins of the Democratic party. The not only promoted and fought for slavery they were the authors and arbiters of Jim Crow which I consider a much darker stain on our country than the Civil War.

I may give this one a watch just out of general principles. I like the subject matter and a little controversy never bothered me.

Thank Mork!

Yeah I totally agree with you on that Trump is definitely not Lincoln, but the reason Dinesh draws the comparison between the two, was because of the similarities on how they both won, and the open calls to assassinate Lincoln much like we see happening regarding Trump. The same crazy political opposition he faced back then, where the democratic party would go to any lengths necessary to appose Lincoln, including destroying the country, we are seeing the same today.

Hiii.. Morkrock

Great Post with Great Information.

Followed ✌️

Looking forward to it.
