I enjoyed the third act of Gunn's suicide squad the best
He pulled a very smart subversion of expectations with the big dumb cgi monster at the end
You think "oh they're doing superhero generic shit from now on" only for him to pull the plug on that and move the narrative to focus on the internal character conflicts
I'm excited to see what he does with volume 3, he's clearly learn a lot from working with DC
Peacemaker and Suicide Squad feel more tangible even visually, he got better with the way he films in general
Guardians vol 2 looks too superficial for me.
