We saw a movie laying down!

The last day before I have to go back to work, Little L could come up with something nice to do with me.

Often the standard answer of children is:

To the Cinema dad!

Because I did not really feel like a normal cinema, I realized that I used to go with my parents to a, at that time, special cinema.

A movie theater with a screen around you.

I was even a little surprised that the film theater still exists more than 30 years later and is even fully working with the latest techniques.

Omiversum film theater

Omniversum is a large-scale movie theater with a large screen of half a big soccer field! The films are shown on a huge projection screen by an advanced technique. The projectors for such a large area are even water-cooled!

The screen has the shape of a hemisphere and runs half way across the audience. You see the image of the film everywhere around you. The experience is further enhanced by the impressive sound system.

And Little L ... well, she thought the performance was pretty impressive, she said.

Especially she liked the fact that the chairs are tilted backwards and you can view the film half-lying.

That's how I want to go to the cinema more often!
