Recently getting the news that Joss whedon changes allot scene in the Justice league movie. He also changed the ending and also remove the character of Lex luthor in final cut. Cameo of darkseid is also has been removed.
So according to me Joss whedon takes right decision to change major plots of the the movie which create suspense for the upcoming Justice league2 movie which benefits DCEU allot. MCU also stick to this plan after since there first Avenger movie is released and after that marvel has becone the most sucessful movie franchise. It helps DC to establish his future plans.
And Joss whedon also says that they mostly focused on the charcters, because most of the audience don't know the origin of character such as Cyborg, Aquaman & flash if they didn't see the TV series of the Flash. So audience gets the idea of their abilities and powers.

Lex luthor is may be added into Director cut Blu-ray or may be seen in the end credit scene of the movie. Because we see this actor on comic con event which shows that he has also casted for the movie. and its all depend on the director to show him in the movie or not.
