WARNING: NO SPOILERS!
I am a movie buff, not that I watch every movie that releases, but I do watch selective movies that interests me. When the first poster and trailer of the movie Dunkirk came out, I had only one thing in mind - I HAVE TO WATCH THIS MOVIE! It is supposed to release in India on 21st July 2017 and I got an opportunity to watch it 3 days before that on 18th July 2017 thanks to a special screening that was organised.
Without going into much details, I'd like to thank the Twitter team of MN+( a HD movie channel in INDIA) for giving me the passes for the special IMAX screening.
Now, coming to the movie...
From the moment Go, you can just feel it's a Christopher Nolan movie, the depiction of events, the cinematography everything is sculpted with precision. The sound effects are just too brilliant and it's like you're not watching it, but LIVING it alongside the characters. As the movie is based on real life events, there isn't much to tell about the story! It is not for the faint-hearted though given that it is a collection of events during the WW II and bombs, gunshots and more will be sure a recipe for a cardiac arrest. Steemians familiar with bollywood movie, If you've seen Airlift, this one's something on similar lines where a country evacuates its citizens from a war zone, depicted in Nolan's style...
There are not much of dialogues in the movie and most of it is through emotions and background scores that the director tries to tell the story. If you're going in expecting an action packed movies, you surely wont be disappointed as there is no dearth of action, but it's not a typical Hollywood action flick! It's more of a documentary style..
I did enjoy watching the film in IMAX and without any interval(a rare occurrence in Indian movie theaters).. If you're planning to watch it, I'd recommend you to watch it in IMAX just because it was completely shot in IMAX format and for the brilliant picturisation on screen!
Once you've seen it, do share your experiences down below...
Until next time,
