Interesting points about Blade Runner. I found it decent because the protagonist learned he wasn't special like he thought he was and because it didn't rehash the same plot of the first movie, but you are right, there's no merit in that if the plot is still generic, the villains were plain and uninteresting, just a guy with god complex and a chick who is obsessed with following her boss' orders.
