BREAKING NEWS

While every DC fan is pumped up for release of upcoming Justice League movie Zachary Levi has been cast as Billy Batson a.k.a. Shazam in DC's Shazam! solo movie. It is a next movie in line after Aquaman has wrapped its production few days ago.

Zachary Levi is best known mostly for his role in Chuck but also in Thor: The Dark World and Alvin and Chipmunks. So he should be perfect for this role as he will need to capture the spirit of a childish comedic superhero.

Shazam is a superhero that is basically a kid. When he yells SHAZAM! he transfoms into young adults body and becomes Sahazam. His name is an acronym for the names of Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury. He was granted the powers of greek gods by the ancient wizard to protect the Rock of Eternity from Black Adam (Shazam's nemesis). Shazam proved time after time to be one of DC's strongest superheroes with going against the Superman and many others

Shazam and Black Adam (Dwayne "The Rock"Johnson) will not confront each other in Shazam's solo movie because Black Adam is also getting his own solo movie. Which is kind of stupid in my opinion to wait for another movie (3rd) for them to meet up because one "exists" beacause of another.

It is highly likely that Shazam will appear in among other DC superheroes in further Justice League movies. The movie is set to be released sometime in April of 2019 and will be directed by David F. Sandberg and wriiten by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke.
