WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO HORROR SCARY MOVIES THAT MADE YOU JUMP AT LEAST 5 TIMES DURING THE MOVIE OR HAVE YOU SHOOK AT NIGHT BEFORE GOING TO BED??
HORROR MOVIES ARE SO PREDICTABLE NOW A DAYS, SO LAME AND BORING!!! SOME ARE GOOD MOVIES BUT JUST DON'T HAVE THAT "WOW, I'M REALLY SCARED" TYPE OF REACTION TO IT!!! IS IT BECAUSE I'M OLDER NOW AND NOT A KID???
IT CAN'T BE IT!!
THE HORROR MOVIES NOW ARE JUST SO PLAIN AND SIMPLE; RUN, TRIP, SCREAM, DON'T GO IN THERE, CAUGHT, ESCAPED, SAVED FROM THE HORROR, THE END!!!

WHERE'S THE CREATIVITY IN HORROR MOVIES??? LIKE HOW MANY TIMES ARE THEY GOING TO CREATE A MOVIE ABOUT A GHOST HAUNTING, OR SOME KIND OF DEMON FROM HELL???

I have had less than a handful of horror movies scare me. I think because I already know its not real it desensitizes me.
I love to watch scary movies with my adult children..... sometimes the sillier and more predictable the better! But every now and then, we watch a movie that scares the crap out of us. We never know which movie will do what or if it just us scaring each other!!! Thanks for this post!!!
they turned them all into bloodfests, i guess it easier to write a movie where everybody is getting hacked up or eaten up by some monster than it is to actually take the time to examine the changing psyche of the world and playing on their fears. one of the few movies that pulled both off was the firs t Aliens movie, the way it was filmed was part of the story and i think the take away for a lot of the hollywood crowd was the gore is what made it good not the story.
