Our favorite hammer wielding avenger is returning to the big screen in THOR:RAGNAROK this November and fans around the world couldn't be more excited about it!
So why Ragnarok?
In Norse mythology, Ragnarök is a series of future events, including a great battle, foretold to ultimately result in the death of a number of major figures (including the gods Odin, Thor, Týr, Freyr, Heimdallr, and Loki), the occurrence of various natural disasters, and the subsequent submersion of the world in water.

Here we will see Thor, Hulk, Valkyrie and Loki battle it out with Hela the Goddess of death as the fate of the 9 realms hangs in the balance.
THOR:RAGNAROK is the third installment of the Thor franchise and also the last Marvel movie to be shown before AVENGERS 3: INFINITY WAR part 1 which is the culmination of of Marvel's Phase 1-3 movies.
All roads lead to INFINTY WAR. This is what the last 10 years of Marvel movies has been all about.
are you psyched? I know I am.
The last detour will be THOR:RAGNAROK.
I'm gonna talk about what we know so far and discuss the things that are possibly going to happen before/during/after the movie.
1. WE ARE FINALLY GOING TO GET THE TRAILER FOR INFINITY WAR part 1
I cannot stress how much I wanted go to D23 when Marvel released the first trailer for the movie. good thing the great gentlemen from D23 initially posted a description on what happened in the trailer. It said:
It is said that Thor:Ragnarok will connect all the previous movies together to pave the way to Infinity War.
Awesome right? INFINITY WAR comes out april next year
And the official Infinity war trailer will be shown during the screening of THOR:RAGNAROK. All the more reason to reserve your tickets. what are you waiting for?
2. MJOLNIR IS GOING TO BE DESTROYED
Uh-oh!, myeuh-myeuh(as Darcy would call it) will be "temporarily destroyed" and possibly be absent toward the movie.
If You've watched the trailer then You know what I'm talking about. Thor and Hela, the goddess of dead go toe to toe then suddenly we jump to a scene showing Hela crushing Thor's hammer destroying it completely leaving Thor hammer-less.
do you think THOR would still be able to bring the thunder and lighting without Mjolnir? let me know in the comments below.
I'm still hoping he gets a powerboost by acquiring the ODINFORCE.
look into my eyes, what do you see?
3. ASGARD IS GOING TO BE DESTROYED?
We see in the trailer Hela leading an army of dead Asgardians then jump to a scene where Asgard, the home of the gods explode? Will she destroy it or will she rule it? we will yet to find out.
4. WE'RE GOING TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO BRUCE BANNER AFTER AVENGERS:AGE OF ULTRON.
last time we saw Bruce Banner A.K.A The Hulk, he was on a quinjet with no clear destination because of his slugfest with Iron Man that left the city traumatized and partially destroyed. he went into solitary confinement because of that event. That's why we never see him in Captain America: Civil War
I like this fist bump better
Thor:Ragnarok will show a different hulk and a different Bruce Banner. It seems that Sakarr(the World that Thor and Hulk are fighting on) has had an effect on the Hulk and Bruce. It seems that Hulk isn't that wild anymore, plus HE CAN TALK!
5. MEET VALKYRIE
While the comic book Valkyrie is a blonde-haired warrior who is traditionally treated as a typical Asgardian superhero, the film version’s Valkyrie moniker works like the title of ‘Soldier.’ “Our view of the Valkyrie in the MCU is that they were basically Odin’s special ops. His SEAL Team Six,” producer Brad Winderbaum told Screen Rant. Her fight with Hela prior to the film left her on the planet Sakaar, and the demigoddess — named SR142 — has some lingering trauma when we first meet her, though she does want redemption and to settle the score. “It’s the basis of her character,” Winderbaum continued. “The fact that she’s here is due in large part to her story with Thor, and Thor getting her to that emotional place.”

Valkyrie will accompany Thor in reclaiming Asgard from Hela along with Hulk and Loki and is also set to appear in Avengers Infinity war.
6. THE LAST INFINITY STONE, THE SOUL STONE
Infinity War will be about Thanos, the mad Titan collecting all the Infinity stones and taking over the entire universe, throughout the Marvel movies, we have been shown where the stones were hiding, One hidden deep in the caverns of Asgard, another protected by the Sorcerer supreme. Up until now we never really know where it is, the 2 prevailing guesses are it is either in the possession of:
Heimdall the Gatekeeper
or Hela the Goddess of Death
who do You think will wield the Soul stone? let me know in the comments below.
this is gonna one exciting movie and will be a sure box-office hit.
Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows) and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Jeff Goldblum, Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, Idris Elba, and Tessa Thompson. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on November 3, 2017.

You guys are awesome!
May the Force be with You!
Highly informative!
I can't wait for this film. I really hope this one saves the franchise, since the first 2 Thor movies were "so-so".
Now with Loki (of course) and the humour in Thor and Hulk's banters, I think we'll have another Marvel blockbuster hit.
hahaha . i really think the addition of Hulk to the movie would be a big help, they said since Marvel doesn't have the film rights to a solo hulk movie, they would really highlight him in the upcoming ones.
Great write up! I hadn't kept up on the Infinity Stone speculation, but my guess from your summary would be Hela over Heimdall. Maybe it's too obvious, but the death/underworld/souls connection seems quite natural!
yeah! before Hela I thought it was going to be Heimdall, but now I'm all for Hela.
