Author of 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' to Directed 'Flashpoint'

After a long time the director's bench was left blank, Warner Bros. finally found a new movie maker ready to gush Flashpoint . As quoted by Variety , this filmmaker is John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein , the duo behind the Vacation , the duo of Spider-Man: Homecoming . Although their involvement is uncertain, Daley and Goldstein are reportedly undergoing negotiations to direct Flashpoint .

Interestingly, before Daley and Goldstein glanced, the studio turned out to consider Ben Affleck as a director. Although ultimately refused, Affleck's nomination as a director reinforces the rumor that he will return to play Batman in Flashpoint .

During the development period, Flashpoint project is known to often mutually director. Initially, The Flash's solo film will be directed by duo director The LEGO Movie , Phil Lord and Chris Miller , but they then leave to solve Solo: A Star Wars Story . Shortly afterwards, Seth Grahame-Smith joined as a new director. Unfortunately, the writer / director / novelist known through Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter resigned in April 2016. Two months later, Flashpoint the arrival of new director Rick Famuyiwa who was successful with teen indie film Dope . During his time, Rick contributed significantly to the development of Flashpoint , where he finished writing the script, and recruited two players, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, and Bill Crudup as Barry Allen's father. But like the previous director, Rick finally decided to resign for reasons of creative differences in October 2016.

Flashpoint now gets a new script written by Joby Harold , who was previously involved in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword . Adapted from a DC comic titled the same, Flashpoint tells Barry Allen aka The Flash who decided to go back in time to prevent his mother's death. But apparently, Barry's actions have a tremendous impact on the world he lives in. Having managed to keep her mother alive, Barry had to endure a heavy consekuesi because his world is now drastically different. Like, for example, Thomas Wayne who became Batman, and the great war between Wonder Woman and Aquaman. Rumornya, Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman will be a villain in Flashpoint .

Speaking of players, this film will star Ezra Miller who returns as The Flash after appearing in the Justice League . As for the cast of Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman , Jeffrey Dean Morgan , hinted he will play in Flashpoint . Speculation that blows call, Flashpoint will be a medium to rebound DC Extended Universe , so that errors that have been done DC can be fixed.

Meanwhile, at the end of last year had appeared rumors that Flashpoint threatened canceled made, if the Justice League sluggish at the box office. But the presence of Daley and Goldstein clearly proves that the Flashpoint project is still stepping forward, even though the income of the Justice League is not as high as expected.

Flashpoint has not received a release date at this time.
