If you saw my post about thee book "1001 movies you must see before you die". You'll know that I am atempting to watch all 1001 movies. This is my review of Our Hospitality (movie #17)
Our Hospitality
Once again Buster Keaton gives a good movie. Just like the rest of his movies in the book that i've seen they're filled with amazing visual comedy. The thing that really stuck out to me was the train ride. Nothing with the train ride seemed to be going well. Everything from the traintrack not being leveled to being covered in soot after coming out of a tunnel.
In the beginning, he has no idea what's going on so out of sheer luck he keeps avoiding touble and those scenes are setup beautifuly but has he realizes what's going on the scenes have to change and those scenes also work very well and keep the movie refreshing.
Score: 7/10
