If you are like me, you like movies. They are often a method of escaping real life or suspending belief for a moment and just enjoying the life of someone else and their struggles. Rememory is one of those interesting pieces that takes technology a step farther than we currently can attain. The problem is, sometimes that extra step reveals lots of problems we never expected. I am going to be watching this one this weekend and back with a review for those that prefer to read up on why they should watch.
What is interesting is that Lionsgate Premiere will be bringing Rememory to theaters on September 8th. Google Play has the movie for free from August 24th to September 20th. Think about it this way, if you like this style of release - support it. Download the movie, hit the theater and buy a ticket, show support for these off kilter release ideas and we may get more like it in the future. Free is great for everyone. It is tough to replace watching a movie in a theater though.
Grab Rememory on Google Play right now. There is a Google Movies channel for Roku and you can cast from most Android devices today so there is not much reason to catch this one unless the premise is not your cup of tea.

REMEMORY was written by Michael Vukadinovich and Mark Palansky and produced by Lee Clay and Daniel Bekerman. Robert Halmi and Jim Reeve serve as executive producers. The film explores the ways in which our past defines the present. A visionary scientific pioneer (Martin Donovan) is found dead shortly after unveiling his newest invention: a device able to extract, record and play a person’s memories. His grieving wife (Julia Ormond) retreats into her house and cuts off contact with the outside world when a mysterious man (Peter Dinklage) shows up. After stealing the machine, he uses it to try and solve the mystery, beginning an investigation of memories that lead him to unexpected and dangerous places.
REMEMORY had its world premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and marks the first time that Google Play will exclusively debut an Official Selection from the festival. The film was financed by Great Point Media who hold the international rights to the film.
