Black Panther is the 18th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and a big risk in a lot of ways. With so much hype and expectation, Black Panther has the power to cripple or catapult Marvel.

YES! 100%
Black Panther was great, but not for all the reasons you might believe. This film worked on many levels, unlike most of the Marvel Universe. At a time when America and the world is dealing with racism and equality, this movie jumps in and did something that no other super hero movie has done before... it transcended entertainment.
On the most basic movie going level it was incredible. The costuming was brilliant, the action was intense and the story and characters were everything you'd expect from a fantastic super hero movie. By the way... the soundtrack is awesome.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="
frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>The plot was not forced, it moved quickly and fit perfectly inside the universe that Marvel created to set up Avenger's Infinity War. One point that really stood out was the special effects. All the Marvel movies have had some amazing effects, but this was different. The effects where integrated in a way that fused nature and technology together to make Wakanda seem virtual. The special effects and costuming were just dumbfounding to be honest.
But that isn't the best part. This was more than just a super hero movie, it spoke to the state of our world today in a way that was truly authentic. Without spoiling anything, the underlying themes of the story hide a morality tale in the skin of a super hero. The screenplay written by director Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole, found a way to tell a bad ass story while attempting to inspire and unite people in a way that is truly unique.
One line stuck out that expresses the wisdom behind the movie... "It is hard for a good man to be king."
The depth of the Black Panther can be found in that line alone. Don't worry, I'm not spoiling anything. Hopefully you'll understand after you see it. Now that I've seen it, I want to see it again because there is a lot going on in this movie and this film will have an impact like few before it.
Personally, this movie has shot up my list of favorite Marvel Movies and landed number 2 in my top 5.
1. Iron Man
2. Black Panther
3. Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier
4. Guardians of the Galaxy
5. Avengers 2: Age of Ultron
Black Panther really does live up to the hype. It proves that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is as healthy and creative as ever. Nice work!
