Most of the mountain biking trails in Colorado are a grueling climb, a great vista, then a blasting ride back down. Some trails are better or worst than others.
One trail I love to hate is Coyote Ridge. The climb is super steep and increasingly rockier as you ascend to the first major ridge. However once you're at the top of the climb it pays off with the phenomenal view of the valley between the hogback ridges.
Today I made the climb for the first time this season at Coyote Ridge. Again, the climb paid of with the views. My hands are still a little numb now from the ride back down over the rocks. Good times.
