For the good part of the last fifteen years Australia has had it's own Magic: the Gathering format known as Highlander. Since the inception of other Highlander variants it is now more commonly known as Australian Highlander or 7 Point Highlander. Here is a quick primer on the format and hopefully some of you out there like the sound of it.
So as a highlander format the rule is there can be only one. Only one copy of any particular card (except basic lands) and all cards legal in the Vintage format are legal in 7 Point Highlander. But in the thinking of George Orwell, while some cards are equal, some are more equal.
Vintage is known for its powerful cards, so in order to keep the format's power in check certain cards have been allocated points. Any player is allowed to spend seven points worth of these powerful cards for their deck.
Below is the current list taken from the source. This site also has other useful information regarding 7 Point Highlander as well as decklists from events.

I hope this has been useful to those who have not been aware of the format. It is a fun and diverse format that Australia welcomes the world to enjoy :)
So similar to Commander without the commander and you can use anything from anywhere?
Jeez there's so many formats since I was taught how to play...about that long ago. Ack. XD
Unlike Commander it is a 60 card deck with 15 card sideboard. This format has been played in Australia for about fifteen or more years so it's definitely not new, and is very popular. Most GPs have had highlander side events for a mox for first place over the last couple of years.
