I agree about waking into the forest to find one, must research them, though if you are inexperienced. But once, wandering with my friends in a woods near the beach we found one in the middle of a small, abandoned soccer field.
I don't know this one in particular, but edible mushrooms are delicious. Fry with a little spice, and then make sandwiches with french bread.
If asked how it does taste, I personally think like some kind of chunkier and richer tofu.
All mushrooms are edible, but some only once :-)
