Norther - I guess they stopped to publish songs but at least the existing pnes are still great 😍

Great addition! Their vocalist actually left them to join Ensiferum. :)

You so accurately put it. I share that. I don't like the cold. But I love the aesthetic side of winter. And it is warm in the family circle. Fragrant tea, cozy gatherings. Winter is rather severe. But our spirit is stronger. In the end, we learn to appreciate the warmth, comfort, and warmth of hearts. Winter will come again, spring. It teaches us to boldly look ahead and hope for the best. Thank you for the music, it's beautiful.

Thanks for the lovely comment, very nicely said! :)

Agalloch is def some of my favorite winter music.

Amazing band, perfect fit for the gloomy winter days. Such a shame they split. :/

great picks! metal and winter go so well together! and Agalloch and Summoning are two of my all time favorites!

Hey, glad we agree on this! You don't hear often that Agalloch and Summoning are someone's favorite bands. :D Nice!

Agalloch will always have a special place in my heart...I met my husband at an Agalloch show in Greece while on vacation there! And being a big fantasy nerd, how can I not love Summoning? ;) Have you listened to the new Summoning album yet? I just got it in the mail last week.

That's amazing story! :)
I have the new album, but haven't checked it out yet. I'll have to do it tomorrow. What about you?
Sorry for the late response btw.

The aesthetic of winter! Yes! I feel exactly the same - the cold can be a little tough, especially in Canada where I am, but it really is so so beautiful.

Indeed, winter is so beautiful, despite the cold and dark. I can only imagine long Canadian winters.

To be honest, I love most progressive rock from the heavy music. But you have good choices! I want to share one progressive group from my country, I think you will like them:

Enjoyed it even though not my usual choice of music. I love Riverside a lot and they play similar progressive stuff.

Riverside reminds me a lot of Porcupine Tree and this is why I have a little distance from them, but they are good musician :)

Tried out some of the songs, seems metal is not my thing :D

Too bad. :/ There's a lot of different genres of metal, but yeah, maybe it just doesn't work for you. :)

I'm not a big fan of heavy metal, but your suggestion is really interesting.

When it's snowing outside, and you're under warm, cozy blanket, just
listen to heavy metal to break that idyllic picture.

I might even try it myself, I never actually gave chance to heavy metal.

Now is the best chance in my opinion to get into it. Try it and see how it works for you. :)

As someone who loves post-rock, I greatly appreciate your Alcest share :) Greetings from snowy Sofia!

I hope you will enjoy them! Btw, you just missed them in Sofia, they played with Anathema few months ago. :)

I remember reading somewhere that Alcest couldn't perform in Sofia due to logistical problems or something like that. I had their latest album on repeat for a month last year :)

Oh so you are already a fan! For me, Les Voyages de l'Âme is one of the most beautiful albums I've heard.

I couldn't agree more on their album :) By the way, have you listened to Astronoid? I found their style strange at first, but after a couple of listens, it started growing on me :)

Cheers man!

Just checked out couple of songs and quite enjoyed them. Thanks for the recommendation!

You are welcome, glad that you enjoyed them :)

Sve je to lepo i fino (pogotovo Ensiferum) ali Ritam Nerada je Ritam Nereda:

Volim ja i naše, ali iskreno daleko su od tog nivoa. :)

Wintersun and alcest were my favorits. My favorite band while driving is RAMMSTEIN ( a German band), Been to their shows 3 times and the show they give is always freakin awesome

Wintersun and Alcest are great and I was incredibly lucky to see them both live in the last 6 months. :) Yeah, you can't go wrong with Rammstein! I like to listen to them from time to time, but I'm not the biggest fan of industrial metal.

Aloha from Hawaii! What's that white stuff? lol

I like epic music ( various) , In This Moment , the whole list stuffed with the Two Steps From Hell and Viking music. These are all compilations and mixes .
Thank you for the suggestions, I am sure it will be a great addition.

I really enjoy listening Two Steps From Hell! Thanks for the comment.

amazing suggestions! happy to see more people hyping agalloch.

Glad to find fellow Agalloch fan!

I've been listening to a lot of funeral doom type bands to go with the damp Seattle winter. Here are a couple that caught my attention recently.

Checking it out though it seems a bit too "doomy" for me. :)

Nice information for me, thank you.
