Snow Patrol has been in my favourites list form the time I can recall listening to english band music! Over the course of time they have fairly kept up to their fans' expectations of taste and lyrical contents.
Life On Earth
Lyric:
The first note
The first winter of my life
I was told it was the height of me
The first dance
Well, the first one that counted
Felt like my blood was built from crackling lights
Oh this ancient wildness
That we don't understand
The first sound of a heartbeat
To riot roaring on
This is not love you've had before
This is something else
This is something else
This is not the same as other days
This is something else
This is something else
Shouldn't need to be so fucking hard
This is life on earth
It's just life on earth
It doesn't need to be the end of you, or me
This is life on earth
It's just life on earth
The first light
The first light on the silent shore
Just the ships that anchor me and you
The way home
This is always the way home
So you can rip that map to shreds, my dear
But all we ever wanted
See miles and miles from here
In the first days in a strange new land
We could be setters
This is not love you've had before
This is something else
This is something else
This is not the same as other days
This is something else
This is something else
Shouldn't need to be so fucking hard
This is life on earth
It's just life on earth
It doesn't need to be the end of you, or me
This is life on earth
It's just life on earth
Shouldn't need to be so fucking hard
This is life on earth
It's just life on earth
It doesn't need to be the end of you, or me
This is life on earth
It's just life on earth

Snow Patrol are a Northern Irish-Scottish rock band formed in 1993, consisting of Gary Lightbody (vocals, guitar), Nathan Connolly (guitar, backing vocals), Paul Wilson (bass guitar, backing vocals), Jonny Quinn (drums), and Johnny McDaid (piano, guitar, backing vocals).
Studio albums:
Songs for Polarbears (1998)
When It's All Over We Still Have to Clear Up (2001)
Final Straw (2003)
Eyes Open (2006)
A Hundred Million Suns (2008)
Fallen Empires (2011)
Wildness (2018)
Although Snow Patrol have been around since 1994, we can say that it was the release of 2003's Final Straw that saw the band finally gain the level of popularity that they have today. Taking cues from some of the biggest soft rock bands in the world, Snow Patrol are undoubtedly not everyone's favourite band. However, it seems as if they have hit on a winning formula for their continued success, and one that they seem determined to carry on using.
Heres a new song from their new album!
“Life On Earth,” the next track to be taken from the forthcoming new album Wildness, is available everywhere now.
Enjoy!
