RE: Cover #3 - "Count Your Blessings"

in #music7 years ago

Yes, I plan to teach my kids piano and I have books and online lessons (which I just did a post about)...I just need to figure out timing! ;) Yes, this is a great hymn we used to sing in church. :) It gets stuck in my head when I try to remind myself that I need to count my blessings instead of looking at all the negative stuff in life. :)
"Count Your Blessings name them one by one. Count your blessings see what God has done. Count your many blessings. Name them one by one. Count your many blessings see what God has done."

yes I saw your post! my friend @maxyong resteemed it! and you've actually blessed another of my friend @stephhchia by being your 700th follower! I'm a music educator myself but the introductory video got me to watch through the whole thing. I'm even considering of signing up for Hoffman Academy just to check them out!

you've got the lyrics nailed down! amen amen and amen! we need to remind ourselves of God's goodness in our lives :)

Hymns are some of my favorite songs. It is sad that most churches these days have moved on to praise songs instead of sticking with solid hymns. :) Nice - I think the course should be pretty fun. So cool that you're a music teacher! You should make some videos and market them online!

I agree that a lot of churches have moved on with the times. Christian music is modernized but there's a strong draw about hymns that's hard to describe. They usually come in 4 parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass), and when you have a chance to sing in a full 4 part hymns, it really blows you away :)

Making videos seem so far-fetched! But I'll keep that in mind as I improve my craft :)

I do love hymns. They really are lovely and usually have a great depth of meaning...as well as the story behind them is usually interesting. A good praise song is also good! :)
