Metallica. You may think what you want about them, but they are true metal veterans, trash metal pioneers, inspiration to modern bands, but most of all they are true live band.
Before they conquer the world with Black album,Metallica's live performances were key element for spreading the word about young metal band from San Francisco.
They deserve all fame, love and money they have, nobody gives them that they work hard, survive tragedy of losing band member and close friend. And they write awesome songs, especially on first four albums.

Any of you who was at Metallica concert can confirm this what i write,i saw them three times and was blown away every time.
Yesterday while i was searching Down live DVD to watch i found VHS of Metallica's first home video Cliff 'Em All,which i bought in Budapest when i was on my first Metallica concert,in 1999.I almost forget i got this, because you know who watches VHS in these times.
But i also have this VHS ripped on DVD,and now for quite a time original DVD reissue is available.

I found this on you tube also,so i will share it with you right here. This is more than a DVD to me,it's little piece of music history.Metallica live videos from 1983-1986,with Cliff Burton on bass, and few clips with Dave Mustaine too.

All i can say at the end is enjoy....

I confirm each word that you have written @armacener!
Metallica is one of the biggest metal band in music history. Nobody can criticize that fact.
Ok, they have released some weak album (Load, Reload), some commercial material (S&M with The San Francisco Symphony Orchestra) and some really shity album (Saint Anger and Lulu, jizzzzz!!!!). And ok, Lars Ulrich is a real motherf... and a great shark in music industry but... They are a true live band, playing and living for one thing first of all : their fans!!!
I've seen Mettalica 10 times I think, first time in 1991 at the Monsters of Rock festival. Each time it was amazing and they always played at least 2h20!!! In 1993, they went at the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium and it was their very last gig from the Black album tour around the world... They played for almost 3 hours!!! 3 hours man, can you imagine that!!!
I listen their music since 35 years now and it's always a real pleasure.
Metal forever, cheers!!!!! ;-)

10 times, man full respect to you.My three times sounds funny compares to your ten...
I agree, they have faults and mistakes in their career, but who didn't ?My live experience is like yours, every time concert lasted at least two and a half hours, and it was amazing. No matter how much you pay ticket you it always worth it.
