"Real music is like your mother's home cooking, with fingerprints where she has nipped off the end of the pastry, filled with things she had in the cupboard and the inconsistencies of the oven leave a golden gradient along the crust."
... That has got to be the most brilliant analogy I've read this year. :-) Beautiful thoughts.
My view on this issue will always relate to the quantity (...more than quality) of the audience. A massive audience will always be "fed" by a "McDonald's" kind of music industry, just as a nice gourmet little restaurant will always have a small base of regular customers that seek that particular flavor.
Maybe decentralized smart contract platforms like soundchain, musicoin, ascribe or artlist (... and many others) could help make a change in the future as blockchain technology grows. Independent and original artist might get a chance to be exposed to a larger specific audience and receive direct benefit from it. What do you think?
Thanks for your reply. I hope you're right.
