I never knew the works and the ways of the music business, but after reading this I does not seem like an easy job. Plus the competition in these days is crazy. It is not really easy to get your stuff out there. But, with youtube and other media, it is a little bit easier than in the past.

haha yeah nothing is ever as simple as it seems! Any creative business (art, media, music..) has a lot of intricacies in the business of it and a lot of great musicians give up because they get overwhelmed! It's easier than ever to get your music recorded and available, but in a lot of ways it's harder than ever to actually be heard. It's still evolving though and it will be interesting to see how things develop.
