Bands I really Loved: Judas Priest.

Judas Priest are an English heavy metal band originally formed in Birmingham, England, in 1969.

Often cited as the Best Metal Band Ever, When they first hit the Scene they battled to get exposure and could not afford the really Big PA systems that you needed to " Make It" , but it was just a matter of time.

In 1989, they were named as defendants in an unsuccessful lawsuit alleging that subliminal messages on the song "Better By You, Better Than Me" had caused the suicide attempts of two young men.

Judas Priest may have been an influence in the Movie Spinal Tap where the Drummer's keep suffering from spontaneous combustion!

I used to keep a Priest tape in my Car , If I was going to be late for a meeting, I put in this tape and I would magically be on time!

Despite Personnel Changes , they have never lost that ability to turn out exciting Metal songs! Of course, let us not forget Rob Halford's truly incredible Vocal Range!

I have never grown tired of listening to them!

I mentioned Spinal Tap the Movie earlier , just for fun , I have added some excerpts here . If you have never seen it , I would encourage any Rock Music fan to remedy that?

Great to find a fellow heavy metal fan. Priest is one of my favorite bands, but personally I'd like to forget about Turbo.

Stained Class is one of my favorite albums and I've listened to Better by You, Better than Me thousands of times. So much for that subliminal message BS!

I was first introduced to Judas Priest by my best friends father (Leon Kruger), I think I was 14 at the time. Heavy Metal then compared to today, don't quite fall into the same category. Thanx for the post, really enjoy their sound.

They are so good at hyping the crowd.
As soon as they start the crowd are on their feet cheering.
So bubbly and upbeat I just love the sound of it, especially the electric guitar.
