Uriah Heep! What can one say?, first Album 1970 , Album number 24, 2015!
Some call their Music Heavy Metal , Others Progressive Rock, who cares, they are Great Anyway!
You Decide?
There have been so many lineup changes , it makes your head spin, the only constant has been Mick Box , the Lead Guitarist
Started in 1969 and still going, amazing !
David Byron , The Original Singer had a very Operatic Style of Singing, and incredible Range.
What is very interesting about their arrangements , is the way that the Keyboards are often used to harmonise with the Vocals!
I always liked them but when the Album "Look at Yourself "came out in 1973 , I was dumbstruck , it was just so Hot!
In 1995 They did a Tour of South Africa, with Deep Purple ( Steve Morse on Guitar).
Local Band Jackhammer opened , then Heep and lastly Purple.
My two Son's went with me, Geils's first Concert, Open Air at the Rand Show Grounds near Soweto.
When Geils heard Jackhammer , he asked me, " Can the Overseas Bands really be better than this?" , I said wait, I think he
understood? He was absolutely stunned ( Geils is no slouch on Guitar himself!)
For your enjoyment ( and to prove your endurance) , I have , below given you a full concert in 1973 and another in 2015!
Beautiful little Girls.
Thanks Bro
So beautiful
Thank you @awgbibb back to the golden age of the music I have grown with. It was and still today the age of creation, today's musician has a lot to learn from guys like Uriah Heep and others from the 60' to 80'. I really miss this period of my life full of concerts and very good time with my band. But today it is still the music I love the most. Very big thanks.
True, Thanks. When I listen to the Radio , nowadays , all the Female Singers sound the same , and the Songs all seem to be written by the same person!
Really true. Also, most of the today's musicians are making music out of the computer and many of them don't even understand what is the feeling and the touch of an instrument, what is it to improvise many of their music theory is made of the colored cube in the timeline. I prefer the old way of making music. Thank you and keep on rockin'.
wow, never heard of them but they sound great! thanks for sharing man
My Pleasure.
thx, you learn me some music I never heard of.. this one is new for me and must admit I think you must hear it more often t like it ;-)

One of my all time favorite bands! My band covered a lot of their material. I was lucky to meet 3 of the members at a club that I was playing in Chicago. Really down to earth guys. Great post!
Thank You, Michael, They joked and talked with the crowd a lot where Deep Purple seemed more aloof.
Ah yes! Deep Purple is another favorite. Great show live also. You are bringing back great memories! Have a great day!
I know many of these songs, but I didn't know hoy play them! Thank you for teach me something new!
My Pleasure, Thanks.
pleased to see that Geil's survived his childhood after being run over and has turned into a competent guitarist - Hey, you survived too, although I wouldn't push my luck much further with Chris LOL!!
Geils is almost annoyingly Good on any instrument, but then my Favourite Granddaughter( now 12) is well on her way too,( great Voice as well). Just finished the Kitchen I have been doing for ages , so , not in too much trouble!
good genes...and finishing the kitchen will earn you lots of good will :)
Interesting band. I really enjoyed their music.
me too.
Glad you did
I can't believe I've never heard of these guys. They are awesome. And the song "Gypsy" is so good. The guitar is rad in this one!!
Well , at least now you have! Thanks for stopping by.
Very under appreciated band here in the U.S. Once in a while you'll here Easy Living on a classic rock radio station, but that's about it.
I got into this band through Ozzy. When I first heard Blizzard of Ozz I thought the drummer was great. I looked up who Lee Kerslake was and discoverd Uriah Heep. Demons and Wizards was the first record I got and it's still my favorite from these guys.
Great, so, another Fan, Welcome.
@awgibib that's why old is gold they all are an amazing voice.
Big thumbs up and thanks for sharing with us these awesome videos
My Pleasure, Thanks.
So much soul in their music it is amazing.
I love the progression and build up.
It always seems to lead you up to a bang.
My favourite out of them is probably Easy Livin'
Thanks for letting us know about Uriah Heep @awgbibb
They are Great, thanks.
Good luck 💪. @awgbibb
Thanks.
All song is so Nice.
I subscribe your youtube channel is that yours @awgbibb
Thank You.
Great sounds of the 70's they were definitely very progressive and hard rock. My city of st.louis on the classic rock station plays them a lot, sometimes too much but all and all timeless classic rock from the past. This here is one of my favorites (almost sounds a bit like deep purple)
Strangely enough, When they first started up , they were rehearsing in a room right next to Deep Purple. So maybe something rubbed off?
Great band! Thank you dear @awgbibb for sharing!
Pleasure, Thanks.

Thank You, Appreciated.
Wow, great post! Back in the 1970's EVERY fan of hard rock music had at least one or two Uriah Heep albums ( or 8-track tapes). I had a bunch of them & today I still have a few on CD & 8-Track. Demons & Wizards is an absolute classic and their Live double album is pretty cool too. The Mrs. doesn't like 'em much but I may just put some on anyway, lol! THX again!
Thank You, You have just reminded me , I have some 8 track tapes and a Recorder here somewhere?
@awgbibb - Sire, love your post. Love your taste of music too Sire. Therefore, I wish to resteem your post Sire.
