Hi everyone. I was supposed to post the next unreleased tracks in my list but, honestly, I realized that I am having a difficult time going through the recordings because...well...memories. 😅✌️ So, that's mainly the reason why I chose to postpone the release. Maybe I'll post it int the next few days, depending on how I feel hehe. But for now, I'd like to tell you about how I spent my Friday night.
So, I haven't been my best self the past few days. I am overwhelmed with grad school. I am stressed with work. Some of my plans are not looking very good. I miss my friends. And, I miss...that guy...terribly.
Fortunately, kpop has saved me multiple times whenever I'd feel like giving in to sadness. DAY6, a Korean band that I love, is one of the reasons why I have stayed sane these days. So, because I wanted an escape from everything and try to do things differently, I figured, why not try being friendly with DAY6 fans (we call ourselves MyDay) and join an Open Mic event? It's something that is very much out of character for me, so I was excited but nervous. Long story short, I signed up as a performer but instead of having to perform live, I just sent a recording of my song "Be Scared Together, Be Brave Together" because I didn't have a guitar with me. It was conducted online, via Twitter Space, which was a good thing because, I am still not crazy enough to do perform live infront of a live audience 😅 It's amazing what technology can do!!
I really enjoyed it, even though it was my first time and most of the attendees know each other already. It was nerve-wracking for sure, but I'd love to do it again!!! I am even open to diving even deeper into "stan twitter" (google it haha), but not too deep though, and I will have to tread carefully, because I might not come out of it alive 😅
