Subtle comeback
Four years after his last album "The Marshall Mathers LP 2", Eminem is finally releasing his new album.
However, this time no official announcement has been made. Why? Well, Marshall always finds a way to be original and he came up with a brilliant idea.
Paul Rosenberg's post on Instagram
The first rumors of a new upcoming album started On October 25th when the manager of Eminem, Paul Rosenberg, posted an image on Instagram in which he showed Yelawolf's new album "Trial by fire".
You might be wondering "What the hell does it have anything to do with Eminem?".
Well, if you look closely at the picture, you can notice in the background a billboard of what seems to be a medicinal product called "Revival". Nothing strange about that, besides the fact that the 'E' of Revival is written backwards..
Hmm.. It reminds me of something
Eminem's logo!
It might be a coincidence, right?
Someone decided to look up this medicinal on the internet and found out this website
Clearly it's not a real medicine, and there are a lot of references to Eminem's lyrics.
If you scroll down you can find an advertising video and in the background is playing a music similar to "I need a doctor".
In addition, people found out that if you call the hotline number 1-833-243-8738 you will be welcomed by a recorded voice and , again, in the background you can hear a music similar to "I need a doctor". (It seems not to be working anymore)
New single "Walk on water"
On November 8th, Marshall posted on Twitter a picture of a prescription note that says:
"Walk on water"
Take as needed
It is obviously the name of a new song and people were wondering which was the date of release.
The answer was given pretty quickly the day after with a video on Twitter
Again, no explicit announcement about any album or song, just an advertisement of this fake Revival medicinal.
In the video the man says
"Tomorrow [...] you will be able to Walk on water with Revival"
So we can expect a new single today (October 10th). I can't wait for it!
This whole advertisement is absolutely brilliant.
