Hi @cmp2020,
Thank you for this post. I enjoyed reading your commentary and listening to your recommended youtube embeds.
We have shared this post on the Steemit's Best Classical Music Facebook page and included it in our Steemit post - Steemit's Best Classical Music Roundup [Issue #30].
Mozart's Requiem I like very much. My favorite part is the Dies Irae. That is to hear both finality and hope.
Do you know Improperia? E.g. this Palestrina's processing is wonderful.
Although I prefer Gregorian chant, these songs fascinated me.
I had not heard of that. However, I have heard of Gregorian chant. It is really incredible how music has progressed over the centuries. Thank you for this comment!
Oh yes. Exists wonderful piano compositions, orchestral compositions, organ compositions, but then there is a Gregorian chant. A breathtaking music that uses only the power of the human voice.
The songs of this week are also very beautiful !. The ones I have not heard (at least not completed) are Requiem in D minor, Mass no. 2 in G Major, Mass in C Major and The Creation.
My proposal for next week is 7 fugues that we should listen to that week :)
Thank you for your comment and suggestion! I made this week's weekly7 7 Fugues as you suggested. Here is the link. Thanks again for your feedback!
I found your article very interesting. I learned a lot from your commentary and will endeavor to losten to a few of your recommendations this week. Thank you.
