Yes it is an good idea. One problem is that the paper can slip out if you are to hard on the strings.

It is smart to do experiment to create different sound on the guitar,

PS! I did this 20 years ago too.

    NICE! When i did it the papier never slipped out? But yeah that could be a problem bro^^best regards
