Greetings peeps,
Having recently joined Steemit, I thought I would open the floor with this specific post for a few reasons:
There is such an abundance of bands/songs out there these days and finding real quality music is difficult so hopefully your responses will broaden our musical horizons.
I am sure there may be stories that come along with the songs which are always entertaining to hear and allows us to share and express.
Seeing the various songs and from which era they stem could be fascinating!
I have recently started teaching myself the guitar (mostly because I love to hear my exceptionally average voice and can now just have a jam) and after taking the time to read the lyrics John Lennon's "Imagine", all I can say is WOW!
I understand that many people may not share his views, but hopefully you can appreciate the visionary that he was nonetheless. Blockchain and its application to crypto currencies is a huge step towards John's vision of "sharing all the world"!
Have a read at this short article as this guy nails it: https://hubpages.com/entertainment/Imagine_John_Lennon
Then listen to this unique acoustic version and take a moment to celebrate the magic he brought to our world in all his musical influences:
This song will transcend throughout time and is all the more relevant now what with our glorious planet being stripped of its essence thanks to greed, myopia and a lack of compassion and empathy.
But all is not lost; I have faith that endeavours like Steemit with people behind it driving positive energy and growth in real and practical ways will triumph!
Peaceout!
That is such an amazing song, although I prefer A Perfect Circle's cover of the song. Personal preference, but same message. A song that never fails to resonate with me is Lateralus by Tool. The song may not have such a profound worldly meaning like Imagine, but it has spiritual significance that I adore. There is no other song that has come close to this one for me. This song has a passion for spiritual evolution. I'll include a link to a YouTube video for you. Enjoy if you choose to listen! <3
Good choice! I have not listened to Tool in ages, they're back on my playlist, thanks! And yeah that Perfect Circle's version is awesomely dark! :)
Nice to see another APC/Tool fan! <3 Haha. You're very welcome! Thank you for posting. ^_^
