New Orleans! I used to live down there!
Wonderful work you have here man, subscribed to your page.
What DAW are you working with? I'm really digging the punch on those kicks!
Thank you, @squares for your wonderful comment. For the Tune of the Day series, all music I feature is not my own productions but rather music I find while I crate dig for my DJ stuff.
I did manage to visit New Orleans this past Christmas and will have to agree with you, it's a truly wonderful place.
I appreciate you subscribing to the blog, I will continue to bring excellent music from artists I find as well as my own production and hardware jam stuffs eventually.
So to answer your question my current setup consists of a bunch of stuff, I have Circuit, OP1, all Volcas, Shruthi, and a multi-effect unit for my hardware jams and I use Maschine and Ableton for in-the-box productions.
Look forward to continue chatting music with you, thanks again for checking out my blog. Much appreciated!
Same. I got an OP1 shortly after that and I still to this day haven't gelled with it as much as I did with my Circuit and just sheer fun and pickability of it. Anytime I turn it on for 5 minutes I end up making some kind of a small tune.
I ALMOST got a maschine a few months ago and ended up getting a TR-8 instead... still regretting that decision. Sounds like you got a great setup man. I’m digging it.
Thanks @squares, I try to squash my GAS so haven't been purchasing anything for a while now, though I do want to extend my setup, but also need to be patient and work with tools I have acquired. I have to say though Maschine is mighty powerful, just the quality of sound it produces is well worth getting the ecosystem. But I heard good things about TR-8, good drum machine for sure, albeit a little limited (but limits can be good, it depends on your use of course).
It’s limited as far as sounds are concerned (to my knowledge) I really wish you could load samples into it, but I LOVE the side chain abilities of the tr-8.
There are some more interesting drum machines out there for sure! TR-8 is more of a solid 808 and 909 workhorse. For affordable sample-oriented drum machines I'd recommend to look into Volca Sample or Circuit.
Yea, it's an interesting tune, it grabbed me right away, but as I was re-listening to it over and over for the review, I realized it has much more to it than even my initial impression of it. Glad you enjoyed it man! Cheers.

I'm really surprised how much use I've gotten from the Circuit. Love that box.
