   Walk In Closet Turned Music Studio!!!

So, I did something most women would probably never consider. I gave up my walk in closet! That's right, I gave up one of the biggest selling points every woman looks for when buying a house, so my husband could have a music studio. Now before you jump to the conclusion that this was his idea, let me stop you right there because this was my Valentine's Day gift to my hubby. That said, allow me to share my before and after pictures of this awesome transformation.
Before I could start transforming this space to a music studio, I had to take EVERYTHING out! Clothes, shoes, suitcases....gone!

Next, I blocked off the doorway so my husband wouldn't peek. Although he knew what I was up to, he had no idea what the end result would be.

It took me a week to complete, as I am a full time stay at home mama. But I have to say, even I was impressed with the fruits of my labor. Unfortunately, the pictures don't do it justice. The things you may not see in the pictures are an LED rope light that travels the topside of the shelving and the foam vocal wall and an LED light in the main light fixture that has the ability to change colors both adding to the cool lounge/music studio vibe. As well as LED computer lights. A wall dedicated to the king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley and the opposite wall dedicated to the king of pop, Michael Jackson. Both are my husband's musical inspiration so it seemed only fitting to incorporate them into the room. A do not disturb-now recording door tag, a black leather bench that doubles as storage for his recording equipment, a custom barn wood guitar rack, a custom made foam vocal wall...

And the finishing touch, this silver guitar pick from our little one to her daddy whom she loves so much!

So what happened to all the clothes and shoes that use to hang in the closet you ask? Well.....

While it may not be the most attractive thing in my room right now, it's a small price to pay for the joy the new music studio has brought to my hubby. His reaction was priceless and the look on his face was thanks enough. It's now his favorite room in the whole house! After removing all our clothing we were able to downsize and donate a huge majority of things we no longer needed. My husband has since decided he will either buy or build me a wardrobe to accommodate our clothes, but I'm in no rush. He does so much for our little one and I, truly gives us the world. Giving him his dream music studio was the least I could. To my husband, thank you for all you do love, you truly deserve this!
