I come across quite alot of people now and then asking me for advice or a few pointers and tips about rapping in general and so i thought why not just make a quick post Today about my top 6 tips for producing rap/hiphop music.

Brainstorm.

Choose youre theme and/or topic and start brainstorming, give it time and let youre imagination run wild.
try writing down each thought, emotion or idea that comes to mind..use this as youre information.

2.Create a chorus/hook.
This captures the theme of the track and conveys its message to the audience, many artist like doing this part first because its what the listeners take from the rap,it sets the rythm and flow and it inspires what is said in the rap.
heres the basic layout for a rap:
(Into, verse, chorus ,verse ,chorus ,verse ,bridge ,chorus ,outro)

3.write lyrics. Use the brainstorming you did along with your hook/chorus as a guide for what you are writing about and to help build onto your ideas. Keep in mind that you have to maintain a rhythm since rap is music as well as poetry, and they both follow a beat. Some lyricists listen to a beat as they write to help keep their rhythm.

4.be personal

Don’t lie on mic about who you are, but to get your point across, you might want to exaggerate now and then. Typically, lines rhyme in a rap, but the words don’t have to match exactly--it all depends on how you say them, and also Always keep your message and audience in mind.

5.organize

Once you have an idea of what you want to say, organize your ideas. Break them up into verses while you keep in mind the layout for most basic raps.

6.be serious.
Dont be shy, or scared maybe to rap infront of people.
Build up youre confidence over time by spitting a few verses out loud when alone, and just practice always focus on youre goal, and dont look back.✌
