RE: Music- Surviving the 'Silly Season'

in #music • 2 months ago

my girth has expanded in sympathy with my ears who took an awful lot of abuse over three days

😆😆😆 and and and am so sorry for laughing, your ears, man, that bad, but then again is remains funny how you wrote this. btw, what was so bad then? a few titles in word should be possible?

...my mind was not really exceptional for music. Obviously not including the Rock genre... always exceptional {roll of the eyes.... grins}

Not sure how to understand the first part, the mind and not really exceptional music? You mean, much of music from that era is not good? Darn, I can list a whole lot of good stuff. Lot on the electronic side of things I suppose, Jean Michael Jarre for instance, Tangerine Dream, Talk Talk (oww 80s more than 70s I suppose). Also the early disco, very interersting, though I can't just throw out names. But also Kate Bush, darn good. Damn, must be so much more, but am a bit out of names at the moment. My mind isn't helping me out here.

Agree with you! Should've been much higher in the pyramid of artists.

NJOY the hotness over there. Very very grey and the opposite of hot where I am on planet Earth.

Okay, you are right about Jean Michael Jarre ... Oxygene springs to mind... the pop music was rather mediocre at the time to my rock infested ear and taste is what I meant. Perversely that same 'pop' music features in my most memorable music category when evoking memories of my childhood.

Cool and agree. On the Pop side of things not much. Here and there was some good stuff, though.
