This is the introduction to the movie it opens with a old model Corvette dropping out of a spaceship and speeding to Earth and heating up as it breaks through the atmosphere with the song "Takin' A Ride" by Don Felder playing as it decends. What better way to open a movie. Then we have aliens snorting space coke and tripping through space flying stoned and crashing into everything lol.
Man i loved the HEAVY METAL cartoon when i was a kid i even collected the magazine. I can even remember were i seen it at i was 11 years old and it was at The Stratford Theater on Vernor Highway in Southwest Detroit. I really liked the mix of heavy metal music and cartoons it blew mind mind. This second video is some of the highlights set to the title track "Heavy Metal" sung by Sammy Hagar.
And this is my favorite part of the movie the pure evil heavy metal orb attaches itself to the bottom of a WW2 Flying Fortress Bomber thats in a deadly fire fight with other enemy planes. When the dead soldiers are reanimated by the evil ball of green light and come after the last crew member. It always scared the shit out of me when i was a kid.
The bar scene is awesome to she doesn't speak in the movie, but what she lacks in words she makes up for in action. Its a tough bar but she could care less. She puts her fist right threw an aliens face ! And the band playing in the bar is none other than DEVO with there song "Through Being Cool"
And the funny part of the movie has to be Hannover Fist. Hes paid to be a character witness to say good things about the worst person accussed of many terrible crimes. Until he finds the green orb of consentrated evil on the floor shrunk down to look like a marble, and he can't help but speak the truth. It you haven't seen this cartoon movie you have to check it out. Thanks for your upvotes and comments its much appreciated.
