I'm back to original 1966 Garage Rock today with The Children of Darkness from I think Ohio, singing She's Mine. Its a simple song with an organ playing an arpeggio, and the guitar seems to also do the same. There is a pretty cool but basic guitar break.
It's a nice fun Garage Rock tune at mid tempo and easy to dance to. Check it out!
Feels so good, feel alright
Every time that I hold her tight
People say that we're doin' wrong
If they don't like it they can move along!
'Cause she's mine, yeah she's mine now!
I like her best of all the girls I met.
And I'm willing, yes I'm willing to bet
That if she ever goes and puts you down
You'll soon be back with your knees on the ground!
And she's mine, yeah she's mine now!
She's the kind of girl you like to meet
When you're walkin' down the street.
She's the kind of girl a boy dreams of
Even when he's not asleep!
Don't see a girl like this everywhere
And when you see her you can't help but stare
People see her they don't believe their eyes
But everybody knows eyes don't tell lies
And she's mine, yeah she's mine now!
Alright John!
[guitar break]
She's had many boys before you see
But she's never fell for any but me
And now that she's gone and flipped her lid
I've been nothing but a happy kid!
And she's mine, yeah she's mine now!
I said she's mine, I said she's mine now.
I liked it. Not a big thing, but ideal for this Sunday afternoon.
