The Cure is an influential English post-punk and goth-rock band. The band was created in 1976, the time of the post-punk rock boom and the new wave in the UK, to change punk rock. In the early 1980s, The Cure recorded nihilistic, dark and dramatic music that played an important role in the formation of the Gothic musical style. After the album "Pornography" (1982), the vocalist and frontman Robert Smith decided to change the band's image. After the song "Let's Go to Bed" (1982), The Cure is becoming more and more popular with the popular scene. At the end of the 80's, a series of successful albums, The Cure gained popularity, including in the United States, where the singles Love Song, Just Like Heaven and Friday I'm in Love reached the Billboard Hot 100. The 90s, Cure become one of the most popular groups in the Alternative Rock genre. For more than thirty years, The Cure has released 13 studio albums, 39 singles and 43 videos.
