I have to say that hearing of the passing of Chester Bennington of Linkin Park has been upsetting to say the least. Linkin Park is one of my favourite bands and I was one of the very fortunate fans to see them perform in concert.
In August of 2014 they played at the Roger's Centre in Toronto, ON. As soon as I heard that they would be there I immediately purchased 4 tickets for myself and my family. We had amazing seats, right next to the stage and only a few rows up, it also turned out to be where Chester would come for water breaks and just to hang during solos.
I apologize for the quality of the pic, I has a Galaxy S5 at the time and I was in a hurry to snap the pic, so I wouldn't miss it. Lol!
Without a doubt the concert, one of the best I have ever seen, was incredible and they are amazing live! I have another pic to share and would have to say that it is my absolute favourite out of all of the shots that I took.
I did get some video as well and will always have it, its been backed up several times on several drives, clouds, etc. :) I would love to share some of the video as well but my phone, the S5, didn't record the loud music that well, so the sound isn't great. But I am still happy to have it.
I do have more pics as well, I want to share this last one with you.
Chester Bennigton was absolutely one of a kind and he will be missed by many fans I know.
We as a society need to become more aware and educated with mental illnesses and start to recognize them, there are too many people, from all walks of life, taking their own lives and it is becoming an epidemic IMO. We have had so many over the years and just recently in the music industry we have lost two of the greats, Chris Cornell in May of this year, and now another great soul, Chester Bennigton.
RIP Chester, you were one of the greats and you will be missed. Condolences to all of Chester's family and friends, and all of his band-mates. I am sorry for your loss. :(
