Well I might as well be honest about this one.
We have all experienced pain in some sort of way, whether be it a break-up, a loss of a loved one or even a passing memory.
Welcome Home is an original tune I wrote not long after I broke up with an ex-girlfriend of mine years ago.
The verse is her saying she is leaving and the chorus is me asking why...
The solo is me accepting and moving on.
The rhythm guitar was pre-recorded using a Boss RC2 loop pedal and the solo was a live take, sat on my balcony here in Cambodia.
Maybe a week before recording that video, I kind of broke down inside and had internal feelings I never experienced before. I was confused at who I was in life.
I had lived practically all my life without sharing my music or skills and was dying inside to release it, but I had lost communication with the technology of this world years ago and I always had that second spirit on my shoulder saying You're not good enough
Nowadays I am trying to accept that I am a musician.. not a taxi driver or hospital or charity worker!
I only recently started to share my creations last year in 2017 and it feels bloody good.
Sure it's been super hard learning how to edit video and record music but it certainly is a skill which I took for granted for years.
So big fist bumps to all you creators out there
