Early life
Chester Bennington was born on March 20, 1976. Bennington became interested in music at a young age. Depeche Mode and Stone Temple Pilots were his inspiration, and his dream was to become a member of Depeche Mode.
His parents separated when he was 11 years old and suffered during adolescence from drug addiction such as cocaine, opium, methamphetamine and alcohol, but was able to overcome his addiction to drug control in the media and interviews he conducted. Bennington has one child from a previous relationship with Elkas Brand. Pennington married his first wife, Samantha Marie Olt, in October 1996, but they could not afford the wedding ring. They married three children, Tyler Lee Pennington and twins born in 2011. Bennington and his family live in Maricopa County, Arizona.

His death
On July 20, 2017, Pennington was found guilty at his residence in Palos Verdes Estates, California . On July 21, the forensic doctor confirmed the presence of a half empty bottle of alcohol in his home but no illegal drugs were found. Later, the band announced the cancellation of the rest of the promotional album tour following Bennington's death.
Bennington's death occurred in the history that Chris Cornell would have been at the age of 53. Cornell, who was a close friend of Bennington, also committed suicide by hanging two months ago. Shinoda said Bennington was very sad when the band performed "One More Light" to commemorate Cornell, where he could not finish the song either during training or during live performance.
