Morocco Record Digging !

This is a picture taken from us in Togo , but i would like to use this as our first picture to present ourselves

My Wife and I

So as we started our trip in Belgium , we bought a 450€ Volvo 850 on lpg and petrol .

We loaded the car with alot of stuffs such as old but still working mobile phones , clothes and toys for children , loads of pen's and all kinds of stuff we could fit inside the car that would be usefull to us or others on the road.

And also these things we could ofcourse trade for money food and petrol and also we gave away alot of things.

Arrived in Morocco , we started asking around if anyone still knew or has some of the old type of music medium : Records or Vinyls ?? !!

We asked one guy in a little local restaurant not far from the beach where they grilled fresh caught sardines if he know somebody who could help to find and localise some records or recordcollections . the man told us to come back the next day at noon and that he will ask around , he thought he knew somebody ..

The following day we went to see him and he leaded us to a really local oldschool house completely made from mud and bricks .

There appeared the funky stylish oldschool 78rpm recordplayer from a very extremely dusty place ! The 78's completely broken and glued together . The man than started to wind up the machine and played one of these scratched up broken 78's , as you could see in my first post's video i'l add this for once a 2nd time in this post , after i will not post the same thing again , ever ;)

We didnt really bought anything , but were very excited with our experience ! And ofcourse the footage it delivered !

After continued searching we ended up in a local recordstore in Agadir where we found several records that we were very curious about to hear !

The local Soukh ( Market) in Agadir had one little shop where we also found few Arabic folklore records .

After Agadir we headed south direction sahara and Mauretanie .
