Castlevania - Vampire Killer [METAL Instrumental Cover by Light of Dawn]

in #music7 years ago

From the 1986 game, Castlevania.

None of us band members have actually played the game, but we hear really good things about it. That also includes the soundtrack, which was led by really talented and praised Satoe Terashima and Kinuyo Yamashita. (They are awesome)

Now from a musician's perspective, we really really dug the almost happy/dark/chaotic vibe that was heavily emphasized all through out the track, as well as the parts and arrangement of it all. This song never stops going, and it really makes you feel like you are about to fight a twisted evil vampire lord in a far away place.

Also, speaking of the vibe, the solo in this song was actually one of the easiest to come up with, as it really just flowed with everything else, and honestly felt like it wrote itself. It's the first time I've (Rokyt) have ever been able to write a full solo in less than an hour. And that's saying something because it usually takes me 1000 times longer than that.

But anyways, this is our take on it. Enjoy!

Rokyt: Guitar, Bass, Violin, Cello, Vocals, Mixing
CrashBeat: Drums, Mixing
ScaleShot: Keyboard, Piano, Mixing

We do not own the rights to Castlevania or Vampire Killer. This is merely a cover, and a tribute.
