Hello dear Steemians! We have a story to share with you. :)
Two years ago we (Diana and Alex) had an honor to be actors in a music video from a beautiful Croatian band "Žen". For this venture we went to big beautiful fields and forests of Moslavina.
We always like to do acro anywhere, so here's a shot from one of these huge fields.
On this field there were herds of horses, cows and pigs that freely roam around with their offspring, surrounded by a massive amount of small yellow flowers. It was very magical to make a video in these conditions, especially because we had nice weather all the time.
Anyway, for the video we had to do all kinds of interesting things, like walking all over the warm mud..
..swimming and diving in the refreshing river of Odra..
..strolling through beautiful forests..
..getting naked for the sake of art..
..and then jumping (naked) from the top of the bridge..
..and all this because we really love the music Žen makes, and of course nature and skinny dipping. :)
These are the guys (Sven and Goran) that make all the magic of shooting and editing happen in the end, and they're also completely crazy (in a positive way), so we had a great time with them.
The story of the video is about interweaving the male and female; trying to show how they are actually one being in the omnipotent nature.
The lyrics on the other hand give us another approach to the meaning of everything here. Title of the song is "Ja ću biti bor", which is a game of words in Croatian. Literally translated it means "I will be a pine tree", but the word "bor" backwards is in Croatian "rob" which means a slave. This is emphasized in the last verse where they sing "I will not be a slave to the moulds I was not casted out of". So, the game of words in the title is practically saying that "I will be free (of society's restrictions forced over me)". Very nice and inventive wordplay.
