INTRODUCTION TO FL STUDIO 10

in #music7 years ago

Very good, steemians, independent producers, musicians, singers, which houses this beautiful community, I present myself @Ludovichs an independent producer who has been producing for almost 5 years.

since I have taken the initiative to make a series of tutorials very well explained, it will consist of several parts that I will break down little by little.

this time I come to talk to you about my DAW par excellence, where I work and where I developed the knowledge that I now have and I will share with you.

It's about the famous FL Studio.

I'm working with version 10, a somewhat old version, but unlike the most recent one, it only changes the design, but it's still the same.

Well, as you can see when we open it we have this first window which is the ** playlist **
In the playlist is where we, we will assemble our songs by drawing samples or patterns and automations, etc.

  • We will have 99 tracks to fill with sounds and effects although they usually never fill completely. *

In the upper left we will have the tools to work on the ** playlist **, such as draw, playback, mute, slice etc.

The ** playlist ** is in the first button of these 5 that we find in the upper part

What follows the playlist is the ** step sequencer **
! [image] ()
This as its name indicates is a sequencer or drum machine, this is one of the functions that makes fl studio stand out from other well-known DAWs.

The advantage is that it makes it more comfortable to make our own rhythms, apart from this the so-called patterns come into play, which are 4-beat bars where the rhythms and melodies are generated with the synthesizers.

On the left side of each channel, we have two knobs that are volume and panning, among other options.

Now we continue with the third component of the 5 tables that are most important in the daws
** The piano roll **

Where the good starts xd.

The piano roll is the place where we record those melodies and those chords of the instruments or plugins that we place in the ** step sequencer **

  • As in the playlist, we have the same tools to work with. *

For fourth place we have the ** browser **

The browser is a sidebar that opens on the left side, where we find the preloaded samples and sounds of fl studio plugins

And finally a very important one, ** the mixer **

All sounds are sent to the mixer for later mixing and to add effects to the tracks,
We have two types of channels, the mixing channels and the shipping channels, which I will speak to you on another occasion.

We continue with some bars that are some functions of the program.

In this one we can observe that it would be the monitoring of the minutes

And the monitoring of resources and the status of the cpu and ram.

And here various options and buttons, such as play stop and record
The tempo box to adjust the tempo of our project and the options of preferences in the program, such as using the pc keyboard as midi controller, tracking the cursor etc.

Well friends this was a brief introduction of the Fl studio program.

*In summary
The ** playlist ** is where I draw the track
The ** step sequencer ** is where we do the rhythms and melodies
The ** piano roll ** is where we plazmamos melodies to be reflected in the step sequencer in the form of patterns.
The ** browser ** is our sound library
And the mixer the place where all the sounds go to control them. *

Thank you for watching this post, if you are interested in the idea of continuing with tutorials or have any suggestions do not forget to comment and leave your vote that motivates me to continue doing tutorials, thank you very much, until next time!
