Thank you. I grew up a child of the eighties and a teenager of the nineties, so I definitely listened to Depeche Mode at least passively. I’ve never owned an album or deliberately listened to them outside of the track from the film Donnie Darko. LOL! I looked up Jean Michel Jarre after reading your comment, as I had never heard of him. I have to say I did really enjoy what I heard. I’m just a guitar player who plays the keys for fun and not very well. I use the wrong finger positions and play mostly from a rudimentary knowledge of music theory and by ear.
No. I was plugged directly into the protools Digi 001 and just tracking with the protools software.
I did get into using Acid back in the day, originally created by Sonic Foundary and later bought by Sony. I’ll be posting some stuff later on from my creative ventures with that software where I use loops and samples that I created.
Really great stuff! I've always been a huge fan of synths. I'm glad to see them making a comeback. It's such a versatile tool and it can make so many tones that it's frustrating when people think all it can do is 80's pop.
Totally agree. I bet people would be surprised how much music they hear that at least has a synth background pad track in it for texture. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve always loved Pink Floyd and the soundscapes created by Richard Wright were truly what made me interested in owning one.
interesting synth track, do you like Depeche Mode and Jean Michel Jarre ?
