Now, in my last post, I mentioned a lot about "DJing." But I believe I failed to mention that I actually produce music aswell as DJing. I already gave a good bit of backstory about my musical career in DJing in my previous post, so if you're interested in that, you can check it out here: https://steemit.com/introduction/@mccurry/my-introduction.
Although I've told you about my backstory in DJing, here's a bit about my past in music production. Back in about 2013, I was introduced to the genre "EDM" by a friend of mine at the time- we'll just call him Adam for privacy's sake. I was talking with Adam one day, when he brought up the unheard of genre, EDM. I asked him about it, which is when he showed me "Flux Pavilion - I Can't Stop" (
I was very infatuated by the sounds and beats. When I returned home that evening, I did my own research. At the time, I didn't know the technical term was called "EDM," instead, I referred to it as "dubstep." I discovered an artist known only as Skrillex, whom was on the rise in the EDM/dubstep industry at the time. He had quickly became the only artist I wanted to listen to.
After a year or so, I told my parents that I was interested in the production of this music, which is when they inrolled me in a class for music production. About a month after taking that class, I produced my first song, entitled "Mypa," a liquid dubstep song. https://soundcloud.com/the-flowwolf/mpya. At the time, I viewed it as a musical masterpiece, but looking back on it, it's disgusting. Not to worry, I have improved my musical capabilities over the course of the time between releasing that song and now. Since producing that song, I've released four EPs and two albums.
