For some time I have noticed that in the music area, both Hispanic and English, 8 out of 10 post, are musical contests, which really does not say anything about music, it is not revealed more than a simple video with a person singing and playing an instrument, which seems boring to me already.
Since I joined steemit I have talked about music from different angles, philosophy, engineering, experience in referent areas, feelings, and I have even shared the songs that I like the most, something as simple as that is something that I think is needed in the platform, a video where someone interprets a topic is certainly not a bad thing, but it is daily at this point.
I think there is more to talk about music, I think the conformity of only making music for a contest has stagnated in general terms the tag "Music" since it is collapsed post about the same, no doubt there are many interesting posts with respect to music themes that surprise me at times, but they get lost in a huge amount of contest type post.
In different discord chat there are channels for placing musical content, something that is already seen a lot in the channels, separating the content by areas, although no one really knows whether placing the content there serves any purpose, since the curators look for the labels directly in steemit, but to me he made me realize this event, as every day are published so many posts of steemit open mic and other contests.
Everyone wants at some point to win one of the winning places of the contest, at least in steemit open mic is a pretty high reward, no one would not like 40 steems, but I think that to win some day, you can not continue doing the same, the Innovation is your best tool to achieve your goal, this applies to everything in life, when you have a bad result using a way, because keep using the same method, change things to get a different result.
Everyone wants to be part of something
One of the most common habits in the human being, is that we all want to be part of something, a team, a group, a plan, something that makes us feel that we are alive, that we are safe, and there are few people who know live with your loneliness, the rest has panic, so I also think that the exposure of music in these contests is so frequent, but there are other groups and other ways to get your rewards, there is @artzone (investigate if you are interested)
We do not want cheaters
I do not know if it's legal the content that is used in a double way, that is, the same cover that was made for steemit open mic, also using it in other contests, is something that I find super bad, because you're supposed to be creative, at least make different versions of the same song, but do not use the same video for both, that is very serious in a platform that pays for creative content.
I want to make a comparison with the videos that I've seen for the awards this week of steemit open mic, so you can see the difference in work, and I want you to notice that neither of the two things is high budget, they are things that The same budget can be made, but innovation is only part of one video and not the other video.
A good cover, quality audio and video, and has no editions, so there is no way to say that the effort to find the perfect shot is what will differentiate everything., At least for me this is super important to not make a mediocre work. (additional this is work to compose, since it is an original song)
The same as 85% of the posts that enter the contest
Challenging the instrument, not controlling the dynamics so that you can better understand the voice, since there are moments where I do not understand the lyrics, they are things that make you want to keep listening, you do not need microphones, just be careful of the small details , keep recording until you have really achieved a good quality.
Out of this there is something that I really like, and I think that the contest should only reward those who make personal music, written by them, since that expands the musical sense, it shows the work done, since making a song is not as easy as many believe, new music is born from here, which can eventually cause new sounds to be born, something that has not happened for a while.
I know that this post is a bit full of hate, but I feel that it really is something that needs to be known, the excessive content of a single topic without variation, stalls the development of the topic, there is much to talk about even music, but here we are, even I with this post, I'm talking about those contests, which I repeat, they're not bad, because who are going to fall badly those 40 steems, but let's talk more about music, let's make sense of the tag.
I agree with you. It should be Music and Not Steems in the Priority List.
Music is the Soul of Life. The Greatest Gift Showered On Humanity. Music Is Universe. The Inner Being Of Everything. The Love !
Music is a means of communication, learning from music should be the main topic of the tag, but it is not so, that in a way generates a nuisance when I want to read things about music, find something really interesting is very complicated
