A Perfect Circle - Awesome New Material!

YAAAYYYY!

I love APC, have been a fan ever since they came out with The Thirteenth Step in 2003 (surprisingly I liked them before I got into Tool)... But it's been almost 14 years since they have come out with a new studio LP.

Now the wait ends! Eat the Elephant comes out in April, and some of the singles have already been released.

This one is called "TalkTalk", and it resonates so deeply for me... You'll find in the lyrics that it couldn't be more pointed at the terrible hypocrisy of talking the talk but not walking the walk; sitting around speaking like Christians yet doing nothing to actually walk like Christ; saying "we'll pray for you" while doing absolutely nothing to change the brutality that persists in our world today.

Maynard also quotes in his lyrics one of my favorite passages found anywhere in the Epistles... James 2:14-26... Summed up in the statement "Faith without works is dead". Bottom line, I couldn't agree more with his views, and his very obvious frustration over the empty words of so many people who claim faith in Christ, yet do nothing to help the world out of its downward spiral.

Check out the song and lyrics below:

You're waiting on miracles
We're bleeding out
Thoughts and prayers, adorable
Like cake in a crisis
We're bleeding out
While you deliberate
Bodies accumulate

Sit and talk like Jesus
Try walking like Jesus
Sit and talk like Jesus
Talk like Jesus
Talk, talk, talk, talk
Get the fuck out of my way

Don't be the problem, be the solution
Don't be the problem, be the solution
Don't be the problem, be the solution
Problem, problem, problem, problem

Faith without works is
Talk without works is
Faith without works is
Dead, dead, dead, dead

Sit and talk like Jesus
Try walking like Jesus
Sit and talk like Jesus
Try walking like Jesus

Try braving the rain
Try lifting the stone
Try extending a hand
Try walking your talk or get the fuck out of my way

Interesting song.

A really great message, I'm surprised. Thanks for sharing this, although it is too bad they didn't use the proper name: "Yeshua"

Awesome song

I also liked APC before tool... been inlove since Mer de Noms.
Gotta say I'm hype about this album, been listening it on repeat for the past weeks. It's just perfect. Maynard never dissapoints.
